GoDaddy has domain on sale for $7.49 Great for buying domain names. Not-so-great for Wordpress hosting. Use Godaddy to buy a domain name and then "forward" the nameservers to your hosting company. This isn't the easist option, but it's the cheapest if you're buying lots of domain names.
The following hosting companies have Cpanel for easy Wordpress installation. Both are my affiliate links, so I do make a couple bucks if you sign up through them.
Hostgator Hosting Great hosting for Wordpress. But not the easiest option because first, they dont' give you a free domain with hosting. And second, they don't autorenew your domain name. So after the first year, if you don't renew, you could lose your domain name.
Hostmonster Hosting The easiest option! They give you one domain FREE with hosting. They are great for hosting and they will autorenew your domain name. Only drawback is you will pay for the first year in full at sign-up. But it's pretty cheap.
What Domain Name Do You Purchase?
It does help if your domain name has your keywords in it.
For carpet cleaning, an ideal domain name would be www.CarpetCleaningYourcity.com
For water damage, an ideal domain name is www.WaterDamageYourcity.com
For janitorial service, an ideal domain name is www.JanitorialServicesYourcity.com
But what if you have multiple cities you service? Start with getting a domain name for the largest city. You can add more later. Do NOT put up 12 Wordpress sites now.
Having your keywords in the domain name will help, but it won't make or break anything. There's a good chance your ideal domain name is taken. Don't worry. Get something that has your city name in it and your company.
Instead get www.YourcompanyYourcity.com or www.CarpetCleaningYourcityState.com
Remember having the ideal domain name is NOT the end all to optimization. But it helps.
